Barrett's Farm Restoration

A Save Our Heritage Project

Barrett's Farm was the destination of the British raid that started the Revolution. The old building was slated for destruction when, with the help of our supporters, Save Our Heritage acquired and saved the building, and with careful planning restored the building and site to the time of the revolution. With the help of the late Senator Ted Kennedy and former Congressmen Marty Meehan and Niki Tsongas, we marshaled through a congressional act that allowed the site to be integrated into the Minute Man National Historical Park. The project, as documented below, required many different trade and crafts people over nearly a 10 year period. Today it is part of the park and open to the public periodically.
